Since I was first introduced to software development in early high school I’ve had an insatiable appetite to learn more of it. I quickly ran out of material and began teaching myself PHP, MySQL and JavaScript at home, and by the time I started college I was already developing various websites ranging from eCommerce, gaming, education to social networking.
Most of my career I’ve been freelancing, working for clients from Aberdeen to America. More recently I’ve been working as Head of Application Development at Swanify, where I’ve helped the company grow as we’ve worked with some of the biggest companies in the country.
Most of my code is either PHP or JavaScript, but I’m also learning Objective-C (my Fast Food Finder App was native iOS) and I’ve dipped into Java when I need to for Android projects.
In my spare time I continue to develop several projects of my own, including a suite of consumer iOS and Android apps and websites, and various bits of useful code for developers. Check out my Linkedin or GitHub page, or some of my projects, there’s a list over there ↗
I look forward to my next challenge.
Here’s a few apps and website I’ve worked on at Swanify:
- Good To Know Cakes iPhone/iPad
- Golf Monthly for iPhone/iPad and Android
- Now for iPhone and Android
- NME for iPhone
- Glasgow with Style for iPhone and Android
- Tesco Linwood
- Carnegie Conference Centre
